Volunteer for Pure Water for the World

Pure Water would not be able to accomplish our mission without the help of our volunteers. Although Pure Water has an executive director, in-country coordinators, and employees working to educate the people we serve, monitoring our programs, and implementing our programs, none of this could occur without the many, many volunteers working to promote, market, fundraise, and spread the word about Pure Water.

In addition to the volunteers within the organization, others have the desire to volunteer in the countries where we are working. If you have the time and the interest, please contact us to learn about possible opportunities.

Travel with Pure Water

Upcoming Trips

Haiti

Pure Water is organizing a trip to Haiti from September 30 - October 5, 2013. Below are some of the highlights of this trip:

• Visit Pure Water’s project sites in and around Cite Soleil, the poorest community in the western hemisphere
• Tour the Pure Water’s training facility in Port au Prince
• Travel to rural areas to view Pure Water’s work outside of PAP and
• Assist with filter installation and/or work in schools

Cost: In-country cost (not including flight to and from Port au Prince) is approximately $950 per person. This includes meals, lodging at a guest house, and on ground transportation.  Travelers will purchase their airline tickets, but Pure Water will coordinate flights to ensure you will be greeted at the airport.

PWW's trips filled up quickly! Space is limited so contact us soon to ensure a spot on this trip. A $500 deposit is required with your reservation.The balance due must be paid by Sept 1st. There will be forfeitures for cancellations within 90 days of this trip. Make checks payable to “Pure Water for the World, Inc.” and please note that the funds are for the September 2013 Haiti trip. Checks should be mailed to P.O. Box 55, Rutland, VT 05702.

Honduras

Pure Water for the World is organizing a trip to Honduras from October 7-13 2013.  Some of the highlights are:

• Spend 2-3 days installing filters and latrines in communities
• Visit PWW project sites in Trojes, one of the poorest areas in Honduras
• Visit Danli and other areas of interest. Meet with local Rotarians
• Learn interesting facts about Honduras and the Honduran culture
• Interact with children and community members at educational functions

Cost is $1,085 per person (plus air) and includes the materials that you will be installing in the field. This excludes souvenirs, alcohol, exit fees ($38) and food at the airport. Travelers will purchase their own airline tickets to and from Tegucigalpa, but Pure Water will coordinate flights to ensure you will be greeted at the airport.
