Thanks to about 300 ducks and the generosity of AWT members, almost $10,000 was raised to help benefit Pure Water for the World, AWT’s charity partner. (learn more about AWT-PWW partnership)

During this year’s Annual Convention & Exposition (held in Grand Rapids, Michigan), members were able to purchase a large rubber duck to be entered into a live race down the Grand River at the Awards Dinner.

The winner of the race, Eric Fraser, won two free registrations to next year’s convention as well as a painting by Kevin Cope (pictured right).

Also, thank you to Kemira and Water Science Technology for sponsoring the event. Thanks to their generous donation, every dollar that went toward a duck purchase went directly to Pure Water for the World.

Thank you again to everyone who participated. Who knows what we’ll think of next year?

The team at Pure Water for the World would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the generous AWT members who participated in the fundraiser and to Kemira and Water Science Technology for their charitable sponsorship. Money raised from this inspiring and fun-filled event will provide more than 30 families with life-changing, comprehensive safe water solutions. You have truly made a measurable impact! We look very forward to next year’s event.

AWT received some great media coverage during this event as well. You can see the interviews by going to:
