PWW Silent Auction Donor Spotlight: Handweaving by Nancy

Handweaving by Nancy O’Connor is a small business located in southern New Hampshire that is keeping alive a traditional craft. Each textile is designed and woven on large floor looms at her mountainside studio. When O’Connor bought a simple back strap loom more than 48 years ago, little did she realize that it was just the beginning of a life-long passion for weaving.

“To create and design fabric one thread at a time creates a rhythm to my life.” – Nancy O’Connor

Handweaving by Nancy merchandise is available on her website. She is also a member of several artist organizations and is frequently featured in shows in the southern New Hampshire and Vermont region.

“When I was asked to donate to the Pure Water for the World organization, I was very impressed with the work that they are doing,” she said. “Clean water is a cause that I deeply believe in. To be able to help even a tiny bit to support a cause that betters the lives of others is very satisfying.”

Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your artistry and passion in support of reliable access to clean water for all!
