Washed out bridges, muddy dirt roads, and steep rugged terrain are no match for members of the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) and the Pure Water for the World team when it comes to delivering clean water resources in some of the world’s most remote communities.
On #GivingTuesday, AWT members generously joined forces to raise funds needed to purchase a new truck to support PWW’s work in Honduras.
Leading this fundraising effort are Apollo Water Services and Bly Family Charitable Foundation, matching ALL gifts made to the AWT truck fundraiser through December 31, 2021; Sanipur, matched all gifts made on #GivingTuesday; and Precision Chemicals, matched the first $500!
Making generous contributions to help reach our collective goal are:
Chemco Products, WET Solutions, HOH Water Technology, Weas Engineering, Guardian CSC, AMSA, Metro Group, Inc., ICONX Chemicals, HCinfo, AP Tech Group, AquaPhoenix Scientific, Scranton Associates, Kan-Tech, Inc., and many individual AWT members.
And, this list continues growing!
All funds raised beyond the initial goal will be directed toward reaching more families in need with sustainable WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) solutions.
Going off the beaten path to reach families desperately in need of clean water resources, to ensure they can live free of waterborne illnesses, simply cannot happen without the right transportation…and in Honduras that means a solid, reliable truck that can tackle the most difficult terrain.
Thanks to the incredible support of AWT members, the PWW Honduras team will be able to safely and effectively continue to provide biosand water filters, latrines and hand-washing stations, rainwater harvesting systems, hygiene education, and other critical resources to the most remote communities, empowering families with the tools and education to protect their health and the health of their community from the spread of waterborne illnesses. This work is literally changing lives as healthier communities lead to an increase in household incomes, school attendance, and future opportunities AND a much better quality of life!
