World Water Day Auction Sneak Peek: March 8

Mark your calendars for the Health, Hope & Opportunity Virtual Auction, opening March 20 at 9am EST and closing at 9pm EST on March 22.

World Water Day is March 22. In celebration of this important day, PWW is hosting the 3rd annual Health, Hope & Opportunity Virtual Auction, March 20-22. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 to accelerate change and bring comprehensive safe water programs to more children and families living in underserved communities of Haiti and Honduras.

In anticipation of the auction, each week we’ll be giving you a sneak peek of items that will be available for bidding, starting at 9am EST  on March 20th.

Handwoven Pillow from Handweaving by Nancy

Handweaving by Nancy O’Connor is a small business located in southern New Hampshire that is keeping alive a traditional craft. Each textile is designed and woven on large floor looms at her mountainside studio. When O’Connor bought a simple back strap loom more than 48 years ago, little did she realize that it was just the beginning of a life-long passion for weaving.

This is Handweaving by Nancy’s third year of participating in the Health, Hope and Opportunity Virtual Auction.

“When I was asked to donate to the Pure Water for the World organization, I was very impressed with the work that they are doing. Clean water is a cause that I deeply believe in. To be able to help even a tiny bit to support a cause that betters the lives of others is very satisfying.”
