Updated Post: Sharing Her Legacy with the “Gift of Life”

Last year, Jane Andersen reached out to Pure Water for the World. She shared the story of her beloved Aunt, Grace M. Frey, who passed away on September 8th, 2020 (see memory below).  It was her aunt’s wish to share her legacy with a gift to an impactful water charity. After thorough research, Jane felt confident that PWW was the right choice.

This year Ann Pisciotta, Jane’s sister, reached out to PWW. To honor the one year anniversary of their beloved Aunt Grace’s passing, Ann made a generous donation, further contributing to Grace’s legacy and sharing this beautiful message:

“My Aunt Grace was an incredible person with a heart of gold. She treasured life and always found a way to be kind and generous to so many. On the one year anniversary of her death (9-8-20), I know how much it would have meant to her knowing she was continuing to help those in need, especially remembering those most in need in Haiti. Bringing drinking water to them would have been something she would have wanted.”

Today we honor Grace M. Frey and share our heartfelt gratitude for the legacy her nieces are empowering her to continue. Their heartfelt contributions will provide the critical tools and education that will empower families in need with the lasting foundation for health, hope and opportunity. The lives of these children and their families will be transformed, not just this year, but for generations that follow, carrying on Grace’s benevolent wishes.

Following is a statement written by Jane, in 2020, that PWW shares with her permission:

Grace M Frey would have been 95 yrs old on December 8th. She has left such an incredible impact on all our lives. She was a lady who led by example and has inspired so many.

Grace M Frey was a woman of great faith who lived her life always helping others. She was always aware of those less fortunate and found many ways to help. Her love of God was evident in all she did.

She was very concerned about those who did not have access to safe drinking water. Even in the last days of her life, when her own health was failing, she would express a need to reach out and help others find access to water…the gift of life.

It is my hope that, in her memory, those in need will be helped by the donation.

I have included a picture of my dear Aunt Grace. I was so excited to hear she may be a part of the December newsletter, the month of her birth.

Stay well!

Thank you to all those at Pure Water for the World who make safe water possible!!

Sincerely,

Jane Andersen

PWW is truly grateful to be a channel for remembering and honoring Aunt Grace.
